There are many places that had, or continue to hold, strong connections to Walt Disney. While many places were named after him posthumously, and I know there are more out there to explore, these are the ones we've visited. These places let us feel a little closer to the man we admire.

As the story has been told by the Walt Disney Company, while on Vacation in Colorado, Walt Disney purchased this petrified stump and gave it to his wife for their 31st wedding anniversary. He had it shipped home. Not knowing what she would do with such a gift, the following year she gifted it to Disneyland where it still resides near the Rivers of America.

Home to many original and one-of-a-kind pieces of Walt Disney's life, the museum was co-founded by Walt's oldest daughter, Diane Disney Miller.

Nestled in the corner of a cozy sitting room sits pieces of Walt Disney's beloved Carolwood Pacific RR. With Walt D.isney World guests rushing through the lobby to get to or from their day at the park, it would be easy to just assume these are props and miss the historical significance of them.

A place where Walt and his family could relax and spend the night if they didn't want to drive the whole way back to their Hollywood Hills home, the apartment has been preserved to let you step right into Walt's private space.

Built in 1940, this Studio was designed to accommodate the Company's growing production needs. It still serves as the global headquarters today, leveraging the same spaces and buildings to continue Walt's legacy in animation, film and theme park innovation.
